Hello there! I’m Mel, a 50+ woman with multiple aspirations and ambitions. Building my career and developing my style brings focus and clarity to my life. My career feeds my sense of purpose, increases my personal development and gives me money so I can do the things I want to do. Style gives me confidence and a creative outlet.

Career and style do not magically appear overnight. They are journeys of trial and error.

I had no career direction after university. I worked in sales, management and recruitment and accidentally ended up in learning and development. When I was a kid I dreamed about being a vet or a scientist or a fashion designer, not about human resources. Now I get to help people realize their true potential and develop leadership skills.

I spent my teens and twenties in the 80’s and 90’s so let’s just say there were lots of errors. As a child I had very specific ideas about what I wanted to wear. As I got older I was influenced by what others were wearing, what was trending and opinions of family and friends. I didn’t always feel like me. In the last two years something shifted and my style really came together. I know what I like and how I want to feel in my clothes. Getting dressed for work, the grocery store or an event is easy. I can pack for a week in a carryon!

Are you satisfied with your career? If you want to take things to the next level or if you want to take a step back, go for it! You have options and can make changes. Style is also something that changes. It can be learned. So if your personal style is messing with your confidence, change it!

I want to get the most out of my life on my terms. I want to look and feel like myself at work and when I’m not at work. I want the same for you. Maybe you’ll find something here that will help you with your journey.
